Recipe
Matar Paneer

Ingredients
The measure of ingredients will serve 4 people ideally.
- 500 gms JERSEY Paneer.
- 2 cups shelled green peas.
- 3 green chillies.
- 2 cups chopped onions.
- 1 tsp chopped ginger.
- 1 tsp peeled garlic cloves (ground with onions).
- ¼ cup tomato puree.
- ¼ cup oil.
- 2 tsp cumin seeds.
- 2 tej patta.
- ½ tsp turmeric powder.
- ½ tsp garam masala.
- ½ tsp powdered red pepper.
- 1 tbsp coriander powder.
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds and tej patta.
- Add onion paste, sauté till the onion paste turns into a shade of golden.
- Add tomatoes, turmeric, salt, garam masala, red pepper, coriander powder, and stir-fry till fat separates.
- Add the peas, lightly fried JERSEY Paneer and green chillies, and sauté over high heat until glossy.
- Add two cups water, bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Serve hot with roti, naan or rice.
