Ingredients

The measure of ingredients will serve 4 people ideally.

  • 500 gms JERSEY Paneer.
  • 2 cups shelled green peas.
  • 3 green chillies.
  • 2 cups chopped onions.
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger.
  • 1 tsp peeled garlic cloves (ground with onions).
  • ¼ cup tomato puree.
  • ¼ cup oil.
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 2 tej patta.
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder.
  • ½ tsp garam masala.
  • ½ tsp powdered red pepper.
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder.

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and tej patta.
  • Add onion paste, sauté till the onion paste turns into a shade of golden.
  • Add tomatoes, turmeric, salt, garam masala, red pepper, coriander powder, and stir-fry till fat separates.
  • Add the peas, lightly fried JERSEY Paneer and green chillies, and sauté over high heat until glossy.
  • Add two cups water, bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with roti, naan or rice.
