5 Healthy Paneer Recipes for Every Gym Addict

Paneer is high in protein which makes it an ideal vegetarian source for bodybuilders. It contains healthy bacteria and good fats that are essential for the body. Some people think that consuming protein will increase the fat percentage in your body. It’s quite the opposite, paneer improves lean muscle mass and promotes fat breakdown for weight loss. Paneer is the absolute superfood to include in your meals. We could go on and on about the benefits of paneer! 

Let’s delve into some tempting recipes to make sure your efforts in the gym do not go waste. These recipes are fulfilling and easy to make, won’t take you more than just 20 minutes! 

1.Paneer Tikka Roll

  • Cut paneer into small cubes. Now add besan, curd, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, salt, chopped onion, and capsicum. Let the mix marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Cook the marinated paneer on a non-stick pan for about 5 minutes. 
  • To make the roll - place 1 chapati on the tawa. Add the paneer tikka with some roughly chopped onions and capsicum.
  • You can even add some sauce of your choice. But then it wouldn’t be healthy!

2.Tawa Paneer Masala

  •  Heat some oil in a pan followed by cumin seeds. Now add onions and cook them till they turn brown.
  • Add tomatoes, capsicum, and salt to the pan. Pour some water to cook the vegetables.
  • Make a puree of this mix. Now add spices as per your liking.
  • Add a paste of cashew nuts to this and cook until it turns into a dense gravy.
  • At this stage, you can add paneer cubes and coriander leaves. 
  • Voila, the dish is ready!

3.Paneer on Toast

  • Heat some oil in a pan to fry some onions and tomatoes.
  • Add some crumbled paneer and salt to the pan. Mix it well and transfer to a bowl.
  • Place two pieces of bread in a pan and spread the mix evenly on them.
  • Cover the pan to cook the toast for 2-3 minutes. 

4.Paneer Bhurji

  • Make a thick paste of 1 onion, tomato, and green chilli. 
  • Heat some oil in a pan and add the puree to it. Now add salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and turmeric to this. Cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add crumbled paneer to this masala with some water. Let it boil.
  • Decorate it with coriander leaves garnishing and serve it hot.

5.Paneer Veggie Salad

  • This salad could be prepared in just a snap!
  • Put all these ingredients in a big bowl - lettuce, paneer cubes, tomatoes, capsicum, basil leaves, cucumber, garlic, salt, black pepper along with some olive oil and lemon juice.
  • Mix it well to coat the veggies with olive oil and lemon juice dressing.
  • Enjoy the salad with some baked chips.
  • Paneer is an extremely versatile protein-rich food. You can make anything and everything with paneer, from sabzi to wrap and salad to tikka.
